Design

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers don't employ a machine to place perfectly-matched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, not using sensors built into the vehicle to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.

During the event, Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities with a special example - the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include a key that displays the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
